What do you truly care about?
Explore the connections that shape a meaningful life
Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about what truly matters to me and how I can use that to help others.
To organize my thoughts, I’ve been using a tool called Obsidian in canvas mode. This mode allows me to keep multiple notes open at once.
These notes include:
Topics I’ve already written about
Things that have helped me in the past
What I’d love to do for the rest of my life
What gives me energy and makes me feel fulfilled
What do I care about?
I’ve been asking myself this question, and here’s what I’ve come up with.
I care deeply about nutrition, exercise, and sleep.
These aren’t just good habits; they’re the foundation of my mental and physical health. They help me stay focused, energized, and ready to take on challenges.
I also care about relationships.
Friends, mentors, and meaningful connections have played a huge role in my life. They’ve helped me grow and inspired me to live better. By learning from them, I’ve picked up habits that have made a big difference in my life.
I love getting inspiration from the people around me and doing the same for them.
Finally, I care about understanding my values and living according to them. Knowing what I stand for helps me make decisions that align with who I want to be.
What About You?
So now I turn the question to you:
What do you care about?
What do you want to help others with?
Taking the time to reflect on these questions can be incredibly powerful.
Whether it’s through your work, your relationships, or simply how you show up every day, understanding what you want to help others with can change everything.
It’s about finding where your passions, skills, and values meet—and then sharing that with others in a way that makes a difference in their lives.
Looking Ahead
Living a meaningful life is something I care deeply about, and I want to help you do the same. That’s why I’m sharing these thoughts with you—not to offer a formula, but to start a conversation.
In future editions of this newsletter, I’ll be writing about topics that I’m passionate about, including:
Deep work and focus
Peak performance
Vision, values, and confidence
I’m excited to explore these ideas with you as we all work towards living with purpose.
We’ll get there together.
Wishing you clarity and purpose,
Alex
